Arsenal already know when this summer's transfer window will open and close.
It was announced by the Premier League last month that the Gunners - as well as the rest of the division and teams other European Leagues - will officially be able to conclude deals from June 9, 2021, all the way up until deadline day on August 31, 2021.
A statement read: "The Premier League has today confirmed the dates for the Summer 2021 Transfer Window.
"The window will open for 12 weeks from 9 June and will close at 23:00 BST on 31 August. This will align with other European leagues."
So from midnight on June 9th 2021, the summer transfer window is officially open and Mikel Arteta and Edu can press ahead with plans to bolster the first-team squad.
With that said, Arsenal have long been planning for what is shaping up to be a busy summer window as the likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Granit Xhaka, Hector Bellerin, Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira could all leave.
In terms of incomings, as reported by football.london last month, the Gunners want to bring in five new first-team players this summer as a minimum, all of whom would bolster different areas of the squad.
And the goalkeeping department is one of them.
Ajax stopper Andre Onana is believed to be the club's number one target, although they might have to sign another keeper as Bernd Leno is open to an exit.
Next is the full-back positions with cover for Kieran Tierney on the left-hand side a priority amid links to the likes of Josh Doig and Ryan Bertrand, while Achraf Hakimi, Max Aarons and Zeki Celik have been tipped to replace Bellerin - should he leave - on the opposite flank.
One of Arsenal's main priorities this summer is a new central midfielder as Dani Ceballos returning to Real Madrid, coupled with Xhaka expected to join Roma means Arteta will be short of options in the engine room.
Sander Berge, Yves Bissouma and Ruben Neves are just three of the names regarded as the leading candidates to increase Arsenal's numbers in the middle of the park.
Last but not least, and perhaps the most important position of them all, Edu has plans to sign a creative midfielder.
Despite the disappointing blow of missing out on a deal for Emiliano Buendia, the top target is Martin Odegaard, who spent the second half of this season on loan in north London from Real Madrid.
Whether the Gunners can get these deals over the line and trim the squad at the same time remains to be seen, but it promises to be an interesting summer in north London.
