When are the first and last Metros to and from Newcastle Airport, how much do tickets cost?

Newcastle International Airport has a direct rail link to Newcastle and Sunderland on the Tyne-Wear Metro.

The Airport is in the Metro's Zone C, so passengers need an all-zone ticket to travel between the terminal and Newcastle and Sunderland's city centres. The current price for an all-zone single ticket bought at the machine is £3.90, or £5.70 for an all-day ticket.

Newcastle Airport's Metro Station is connected to the terminal. It takes just a couple of minutes to walk from the station to the check-in desks and departure area.

The Airport is on the green line, which heads to Newcastle via Gosforth and Jesmond and then onto Sunderland and South Hylton via Gateshead. Passengers can change at South Gosforth or most Newcastle City Centre stations to the Yellow Line for trains to the coast.

Over Easter, weekday service will operate on Good Friday and Easter Monday, without additional peak trains. Check the latest here.
