The winter bank holidays are a bit different this year, as Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day all fall on a weekend.
So figuring out when it is and isn't a Bank Holiday can get confusing.
Christmas is on Saturday 25 December and Boxing Day is on Sunday 26 December.
This means we get two substitution days, to make up for the Bank Holidays falling on a weekend.
The substitution days are the Monday and Tuesday following the Christmas week.

So Monday 27 December and Tuesday 28 December become bank holidays instead.
For most of us, it will turn the festive weekend into a four-day weekender.
They're not the only bank holidays to be on a weekend this winter; New Year's Day, 1 January 2022, is on a Saturday.
Again, this means we are given a substitution day.
So the first weekday of the year - Monday 3 January 2022 - is a bank holiday instead.
