Championship play-off dates as Nottingham Forest edge closer to top six finish

Nottingham Forest need just a point from their final two games to secure a play-off place in the Championship.

The Championship play-off final will take place in early August as the Reds strive to confirm their place in the end-of-season promotion lottery, starting with a trip to Barnsley on Sunday.

It has been confirmed that the final will be played behind closed doors at Wembley on 7.45pm on Tuesday, 4 August.

Forest won't be looking ahead to that showpiece occasion just yet, but they will have an eye on the semi-finals, which commence on Sunday, July 26.

At the moment it looks most likely that Sabri Lamouchi's team will be involved in the 4th v 5th play off.
