When are the 2020 Bank Holidays? Here are the 2020 dates you could be off work

The Christmas and New Year Bank Holidays are over but there are lots more to look forward to this year.

There is a change to May Day this year as it has been moved back four days to coincide with the VE Day anniversary celebrations, 75 years on.

Planning ahead is always worthwhile and those of us who don’t get Bank Holidays - like hardworking emergency service staff, hospitality workers and erm, journalists, will be looking enviously on as you hopefully make the most of the 2020 dates.

During 2020 there's a total of eight days off to enjoy so here comes the dates of the next: vital information if you want to get in quick with some holiday requests to lengthen your time off work.

Here are the Bank Holiday dates list for 2020

    • Tuesday January 1 - New Year's Day
    • Friday, April 10 - Good Friday
    • Monday, April 13 - Easter Monday
    • Friday, May 8 - Early May Day Bank Holiday for VE Day
    • Monday May 25 - Spring Bank Holiday
    • Monday August 31 - Summer Bank Holiday
    • December 25 (Friday) - Christmas Day
    • December 28 (Monday) - Boxing Day substitute day

    So, not long to go for the next - get your requests in early!
