The Champions League Last 16 draw has officially been made and all four English clubs still left in the competition have found out their opponents for the next round, after the initial draw was voided following a mistake involving Manchester United ’s ball.
Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United will all compete in the knockout stages in the new year as they look to win club football’s most prestigious award.
Chelsea will face Ligue 1 champions Lille, while Liverpool have been paired with Serie A champions Inter Milan in their respective last 16 ties.
As for the Manchester clubs, City will face Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon, while United will face Atletico Madrid for a place in the quarter-finals.

When is the Champions League Last 16?
The Champions League Last 16 ties will be played in February and March, 2022.
The first legs of the Last 16 are scheduled for February 15th-16th and 22nd-23rd, with the second legs taking place on March 8th-9th and 15th-16th. Kick-offs are at 8pm.
The exact dates for each tie were confirmed in due course.
How to watch
BT Sport have the rights to broadcast Champions League games and will therefore be showing all of the Last 16 ties, as well as the further knockout rounds.
The exact channels will be confirmed closer to the time.
Away goals rule scrapped
The away goals rule will not be in use for the knockout stages of the 2021/22 Champions League, meaning that ties which are level after 90 minutes in both legs will advance to extra-time and then a penalty shoot-out if required, to determine the winner.
