A level students up and down the country may be suffering from a case of the butterflies as they near the big day.

The big day being results day which this year falls on Thursday, August 15.

Many students across England and Wales will be hoping to have got the grades they need to go on to their next big step, whether that be university, an apprenticeship or employment.

A level result grade boundaries used to be released 24-hours before the day itself but this was stopped two years ago in a bid to reduce students stress.

They were instead released on the same day as the results themselves from 6am.

The grade boundaries will enable students to see the minimum number of marks they need to have achieved for each grade.

If, following a review, you are still not satisfied with the outcome you can submit an appeal.
