When Aishwarya Rai Bachchan told Sonu Sood that he reminds her of Amitabh Bachchan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonu Sood had worked together in Ashutosh Gowarikar's ‘Jodha Akbar’ where they played siblings. Since then, Aishwarya has been tying rakhi to Sonu Sood every year. Sonu visits Aishwarya every year on Raksha Bandhan and she ties him a rakhi.

In a throwback interview with Times of India, Sonu had recalled how Aishwarya was initially reserved in the beginning of the shooting of ‘Jodha Akbar’. However, she later opened up later to him while doing a scene and had told him, “You remind me of my pa!”. The actor further revealed that the actress still calls him bhai sahab.

Interestingly, Sonu has not only worked with Aishwarya but also with Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan in different films. The actor had shared the screen space with Big B in ‘Bbuddah… Hoga Terra Baap’ and with Abhishek in ‘Yuva’. Talking about working with each one of them , Sonu had revealed Amitabh is extremely dedicated and keeps rehearsing his lines, while with Abhishek you get what you see. Aishwarya, on the other hand, is quite reserved on the set.

Sonu Sood has rightly gained the title of a messiah in Bollywood after his philanthropic work made headlines amid the ongoing pandemic since last year. The actor has also released his memoir titled,‘I Am No Messiah’ which chronicles his journey from Moga to Mumbai.

On the work front, Aishwarya will next be seen in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ where she will be seen essaying a character with shades of grey for the first time.
