If your ambitions are to own an NFL team, there are a lot of hurdles. It has to be up for sale, and then you have to have, oh, about a billion dollars, be vetted by the league, etc. And would you even be getting a good deal? Assessing what a franchise should cost is difficult given that some individuals would pay whatever it took for the prestige of being in an elite club. Why go through all the hassle when you can just buy a ton of steel?
