Wheelchair creep bragged to teenager 'everything still works, I'll make you a real woman'

A wheelchair-bound pervert has avoided jail after telling a 14-year-old girl he wanted to make her "a real woman" during an online chat.

Aleem Azam thought he was in contact with a teenager, but in fact he was snared by a police decoy.

The 49-year-old claimed he wanted to have sex with her and boasted that "everything still worked" in his body.

He was eventually snared with 18 indecent images of children.

Azam pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to sending sexual communications to the decoy as well as having the indecent images.

Azam, of Shawlands, was put on a community payback order with three years supervision by Sheriff Andrew Cubie.

Sheriff Cubie told Azam : “These are very serious matters and could warrant a custodial sentence.

"However, I have taken into account the short term nature and time since the offences took place.

“The number of images received was of a limited amount.

“I am able to impose a direct alternative to a custodial sentence.”

Azam was also put on the sex offenders register for three years.

The court heard Azam  believed he was chatting on Skype was chatting to 14-year-old.

Prosecutor Claire Wallace said: “He identified as disabled and in a wheelchair.

"He stated everything still works in his body.

“He identified to the child he would like to have sex with her and then sent an image of a naked male

“He stated that he couldn’t wait to make her a real woman.”

Police later raided his home and indecent images of children were found stored on his devices.

Lawyer Tracy Paterson, defending, said: “He knows even if a 14 or 15 year old on the internet wants to engage in sexual chat or agrees to sexual images, he is the adult and has to toe the line and say no.”
