Look, everyone knows how ‘Wheel of Fortune’ works.
You go on the show, you spin the wheel, they give everyone a puzzle to solve and you solve it. If you get it right, boom. You win money. If you keep getting it right, you get to solve the final puzzle. And getting that right means more money or a cool prize.
This woman was in prime position to take home a pretty cool prize on the show. It was a new Audi. All she had to do was solve the final puzzle.
And that’s exactly what she did. But, due to a rule technicality, she still lost.
Apparently, she took too long to say the final word in the final phrase “choosing the right word.” She got it right. But there was a bit of a pause between “right” and “word.” So she missed out on the car.

Fans were rightfully heated about this. It doesn’t make any sense. She didn’t give a horribly wrong answer or something silly. She actually got the phrase right.
And everyone gets that rules are rules, but it’s not as if she took a full 10 seconds to get this right. She paused for 3 or 4 seconds and got it.
People were livid about this. They let WoF hear about it online.
