WhatsApp trick lets you use Dark Mode on desktop version - here's how to access it

With over two billion users around the world, WhatsApp is without a doubt one of the most popular apps around.

If you use WhatsApp it’s likely you have all the basics down, but there are actually a number of helpful features you may not be making the most of.

One of the most helpful features is Dark Mode, which was launched on the WhatsApp app for Android and iOS back in March.

As the name suggests, dark mode changes the background colour of the app window to a dark colour, making it much easier on the eyes - particularly when using your phone in the evening.

Now, WhatsApp has finally added Dark Mode to its desktop version of WhatsApp, making it much easier to message your friends on the sly at work.

The new feature will roll out to users over the next few weeks in the latest versions of WhatsApp, although Mirror Online has tested it and already has access.

Here’s how to access Dark Mode on the desktop version of WhatsApp.

  3. Once you’re signed in, click the three dots in the top left of the screen
  4. Click Settings, then Theme
  5. Select Dark, and your WhatsApp Web will transform into a dark theme!
