WhatsApp trick lets you read your messages in 'super-stealth mode'

With over 1.5 billion daily active users, WhatsApp is without a doubt one of the most popular messaging apps around.

If you use WhatsApp , you’ve probably got the basics of the app covered, but there are actually several secret features you may not be making full use of.

One of the top tricks that you might not know about is the ability to read your messages in ‘super-stealth mode.’

This is ideal for those moments when you want to read a WhatsApp message without your friend knowing.

While there’s always the option to hide ‘Read Receipts’, this approach isn’t for everyone.

Thankfully, there’s a sneaky alternative, that lets you read a full message and avoid blue ticks.

Speaking to Mirror Online, WhatsApp explained: “If you see a message come in on your iPhone’s lock screen, press down slightly on the message on the screen and it pulls up the full text, but you won’t appear to the other person that you’ve read the message. Stealthy!”

Another sneaky trick that you might not know about is the ability to pin your most important conversations to the top of your inbox, eliminating the need for mindless scroling.

On the iPhone, swipe to the right on the chat you want to pin to the top and then tap ‘Pin’.

Or on Android, tap and hold on the chat and then tap the pin icon.
