WhatsApp has rolled out an update for its business users. The messaging platform has unveiled features to make customer interactions faster, more personal, and easier to manage. It includes AI-powered chat support, real-time voice and video calling, and improved marketing tools, all available directly within the WhatsApp Business app.
With the new AI assistant, businesses can now respond instantly to customer queries, recommend products, and even guide users through purchases. The AI is also capable of managing order tracking and sending follow-up messages, reducing the need for human support and helping customers get answers around the clock.

Furthermore, the WhatsApp Business accounts can now make voice and video calls. This allows companies to talk directly with customers to resolve issues or provide detailed information. Voice notes are also supported, giving businesses more ways to communicate with customers who prefer speaking over typing.
Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, says the new features reflect the growing demand for faster, on-platform support. “We want to make it easier for people to get the help they need, right where they’re already chatting,” a company spokesperson said.
The update also includes a unified dashboard for managing marketing campaigns across WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram. Powered by AI, the system also helps businesses target the right customers more effectively and streamline their outreach efforts.
However, that’s not all; the company is also expanding the personalization capabilities on its platform. In its recent beta update, WhatsApp has started rolling out a new AI-powered chat wallpaper feature. It allows you to generate unique chat wallpapers using Meta AI. While the feature is currently being tested with select beta users who’ve updated to the latest version via the Google Play Beta Program, a few users running earlier versions might also see the same functionality enabled.
