Real Madrid have had an indifferent start to the season.
They are unbeaten in La Liga, but have won two and drawn to so far, beating Celta Vigo and Valencia, but drawing with Real Vallodolid and Villarreal.
They also got their Champions League campaign off to a bad start, losing 3-0 at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.
Los Blancos' poor form last season did not have the upturn that many would have expected when Zinedine Zidane took over from the sacked Santiago Solari.
And questions continue to be asked about the France World Cup winner as manager at the Bernabeu.
Real spent a small fortune in the summer, bringing in the likes of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Ferland Mendy for big price tags.
With question marks over Zidane's future, there are always going to be names linked with replacing him at the helm.
And one former Bernabeu boss has risne to the top of that talk - Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho was asked about returning to the hotseat this week and admitted that he would not talk about it while Zidane was still in charge in the Spanish capital.
And Zidane himself has even been asked about Mourinho's name being linked with replacing him.
He said: "It doesn't annoy me that his name is linked, that's how it is.
"I don't have to say if it annoys me or not, that's the situation. Here, you lose a game and you have to change something. It's difficult, but that's the reality."
