What Yves Bissouma did on Instagram with Arsenal 'confident' of completing £30m transfer

Arsenal's summer transfer plans are beginning to take shape.

As revealed by football.london last month, Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is keen on signing Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid on a permanent deal this summer, while the right-back and left-back positions will also look to be strengthened.

Although, it would appear that finding the perfect central midfield partner for Thomas Partey is also on the Spaniard's radar.

In January, the north London outfit were linked with a move for Brighton and Hove Albion ace Yves Bissouma and football.london were told that 'he loves the Premier League' and would love to play for the Gunners over any other club.

Fast forward a few months and it seems there has been a major development.

That is according to the Daily Star, who claim that Arsenal are 'confident' of signing the Mali international in a £30m deal when the transfer window opens at the end of the season.

Furthermore, the report states that Everton, West Ham, and Tottenham have all made inquiries for Bissouma, but it would appear that the Gunners are leading the race to sign the midfielder.

With that said, the 24-year-old may have already hinted that the reports are true.

As pointed out by @afcstuff on Twitter over the weekend, Bissouma viewed their Instagram story regarding the aforementioned reports that Arsenal are winning the race for his signature.

It remains to be seen if what Bissouma did on Instagram was just a coincidence or if there's more to it, but he has teased an Brighton exit this summer.

"I don’t have much to say about that [transfer speculation] because I’m at Brighton for the moment," Bissouma said. "I consider myself a Brighton player, so the most important thing right now, as I said, is to stay up.

"We’ll try and stay up, and God willing, we’ll see how things go next season."
