During the week we asked LeedsLive readers what the best thing about Leeds was and we received dozens of responses.
It was no surprise so many people replied as the city is the hidden gem of the North with something for everyone to enjoy, no matter the age, gender or interests.
While a lot of people said the best thing about city is the fact it isn’t Manchester or Bradford, we have decided to expand on those points to illustrate just how great Leeds is.
For one, we have Leeds United Football Club which one reader said was the “the greatest team in the land,” we have a Harvey Nichols and our accents!
These are just a few examples of why the city is great. We have listed the reasons our readers gave us below.
Carol Betteley said: “The manageability of a city that is large in presence but compact enough to include all the culture, sport, shopping, entertainment and academia in an untiring and truthful manner.”
