'What would we do without Pablo?' - Leeds United fans react to wonder goal

Leeds United needed a last minute wonder goal from star player Pablo Hernandez to clinch a 2-1 victory against Western Sydney Wanderers.

Hernandez, who picked up the ball on the edge of the area in the fourth minute of added time, took it round three defenders before curling an unstoppable shot into the top corner.

The Australian friendly marked an historic event, with United scoring the first ever goal at the brand new Bankwest Stadium courtesy of youngster Mateusz Bogusz.

Leeds fans everywhere held little hope when the game was tied at 1-1 heading into added time - most supporters were in fact bewildered over their side’s lack of clinical finishing.

Thankfully, in the 94th minute of added time, attacking midfielder Hernandez popped up with the screamer that clinched a great victory for Marcelo Bielsa's side.

Fans wasted absolutely no time transforming their pessimism into unrivalled joy, with Twitter praising the crucial quality of Hernandez and maybe insisting that there is hope for promotion after-all.
