Chelsea winger Willian has dismissed talk of a transfer across the capital to join rivals Tottenham, stating he hasn't had contact with Jose Mourinho.
Speculation has suggested that the Brazilian has met with the Spurs boss, whom he has a close relationship with from the Portuguese boss' time at Stamford Bridge.
However, Willian has made it clear that isn't the case as he denied any discussions with Mourinho have taken place around a potential reunion.
“When I saw that news, I was surprised – I said ‘where did people get this from?’ Because I didn’t even talk to him on the phone, and I didn’t meet him either, because I didn’t leave the house," he told GloboEsporte.
“So, this news is not really true. I didn’t meet him. Of course, I have a good friendship with him, sometimes we chat. But really, lately I haven’t had any contact with Mourinho.”
Willian went on to confirm his intention to stay within European football, with plenty of clubs on the continent attributed with an interest in his services.
Spurs and Arsenal have been linked with a move for the experienced winger, along with the likes of Juventus and Barcelona.
This term, the Brazil international, who made the switch to Stamford Bridge back in 2013 from Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala, has netted seven goals in all competitions for Frank Lampard's Blues, including five in the Premier League.
