What will the weather be like in Manchester next week?

Mancunians hoping for gorgeous summer weather after the cold, drab weekend look set to be disappointed again.

More mixed weather is forecast next week - with rain, cloudy skies and sunshine all on the cards.

Temperatures should hover around 17C too, meaning it won't feel particularly hot.

Monday should start off fairly bright, with the odd outbreak of sunshine, according to the Met Office website.

But by 2pm, heavy downpours should hit, lasting throughout the evening.

The rain should hold off on Tuesday, with cloudy conditions expected all day.

Expect temperatures of around 18C.

The rain is expected to reappear on Wednesday morning at around 4am, and is set to last until around 1pm.

Then sunshine is forecast from around 4pm, and is predicted to linger around all evening.

Thursday is predicted to be another day of mixed weather - with cloud, sunshine and rain all on the cards.

Pack a raincoat on Friday as well, as sun and showers are predicted all day - with temperatures around 15C.

Friday evening should be fairly clear and bright, The Met Office says.
