The Lakers have severely unperformed during the 2021-2022 NBA regular season, and fans have taken notice. The situation has gone from bad to worse in Tinsel Town, and Los Angeles has a lot of work to do if the club wants to make the playoffs, to say nothing of a deep postseason run.
The Lakers are facing some seriously choppy water. But despite the franchise’s polished history, this isn’t the bottom of the barrel for the Lakers. The Purple & Gold have had worse seasons.
Perhaps 2021-22 will go down as one of the Lakers’ most disappointing seasons. It’s certainly unlikely to be one of its best — even with LeBron James making public amends.
