- Olivia has been named the most popular girls' name in England and Wales for the tenth consecutive year in 2025, according to the Office for National Statistics ( ONS ).
- For boys, Muhammad, Noah and Leo were the top three, with Leo displacing Oliver from the previous year's rankings. Meanwhile, the top three names for girls were Olivia, Lily and Amelia, with Lily overtaking Amelia for second place.
- Olivia was the favourite girls' name in three of nine regions in England and also in Wales, while Muhammad topped the boys' list in four English regions.
- New entries to the top 100 included Eliana, Gracie, Anaya, Alba, Marnie, Lilah and Frankie for girls; and Vincent, Carter, Stanley and Ruben for boys.
- Compared with 2024, the names with the biggest increase in popularity in the top 100 were Eliana (up 54 places), Anaya (up 24 places) and Alba (up 24 places) for girls; and Vinnie (up 33 places), Ruben (up 26 places) and Vincent (up 25 places) for boys.
