What went wrong for Channing Tatum and Jessie J as whirlwind romance ends

Channing Tatum and Jessie J have reportedly called it quits on their relationship after just over a year of dating, but head-scratching fans have been left wondering why the couple are over.

They'd reportedly been romancing from October last year, and had even shacked up together in the English countryside.

Now it's said they've gone their separate ways, with a source telling Us Weekly : "Channing Tatum and Jessie J broke up about a month ago. They are still really close and still good friends."

Meanwhile an insider told People that there wasn't any aggro, just a mutual decision to split, saying: "There wasn't any drama. They just decided to part ways."

This hasn't shed much light on why they've called time on their romance, but the People source goes on to say that the Transatlantic pair have struggled to meet their commitments and their priorities haven't aligned.

"Channing and Jessie have different priorities and focuses that don't really align," they continued, "They had a fun relationship, but it just didn't work out."

Being an international couple composed of a Hollywood A-lister and an global pop sensation, it's not a stretch of the imagination that they might have struggled to fit in the time together.

They added that Channing needs to spend time across the pond in Tinsel Town - so he can see daughter Everly, six.

He shares his little girl with ex-wife Jenna Dewan - meaning that to spend time with Everly is made a whole lot more difficult if he's in the UK.

"Channing needs to be in LA a lot so he can spend time with Everly," they said, "Jessie prefers England."

Mirror Online has contacted representatives for Jessie and Channing for comment.

Ex-wife Jenna has previously opened up about her feelings surrounding Channing and Jessie, saying that she felt "blindsided" as her ex-husband moved on months after they chose to separate.

She's now pregnant with her second child, with boyfriend Steve Kazee.
