Londoner’s Diary
Regent Street just got a little glitzier with the opening of a new flagship Michael Kors store. The man himself jetted in from across the pond to cut the ribbon and host a cocktail party to celebrate. It was a family affair for model and singer Suki Waterhouse, who is the face of Michael Kors and co-hosted the evening. She was joined by her sisters Immy and Maddi, who DJed, as well as her mother Elizabeth. Suki may live in wellness-obsessed LA, but she still loves a rough-and-ready house party. Her number one tip for hosts? “Let your guests smoke inside.” After toasting the new store, Kors and Waterhouse decamped to Claridge’s for dinner, where they were joined by friends of the brand including actors Raff Law, Rashida Jones and Gemma Chan, Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg and model Ikram Abdi Omar.

London Fashion Week may have been more than two months ago, but the brain behind 16Arlington is unfazed by the strictures of time. On Monday, Marco Capaldo got friends including Lily Allen to take to the catwalk at his Hoxton studio in an eveningwear collection he created with cult 1970s designer Antony Price. Fashion director Julia Sarr-Jamois and model Cora Corré were among the well-heeled guests on the front row.

Meanwhile, model Arizona Muse went to the unveiling of Annabel’s festive façade. This year the exterior of the Mayfair members’ club has been transformed into an opulent Narnia-inspired wardrobe, lion and all. The festivities were in full swing at the preview of Winter Wonderland, attended by Katie Price’s daughter, Princess Andre, and Professor Green. Over at the Electric Cinema on Portobello Road, Felicity Jones and Joel Edgerton discussed their new film, Train Dreams, with Rosamund Pike.
