Eubank vs Benn 2 weight and rehydration clause
As with the original bout, tonight’s rematch will be fought at the middleweight limit of 160lbs, with a 10lb rehydration clause enforced once more that means neither man can weigh more than 170lbs during a check that took place today, at 9am on the morning of the bout.
On Friday afternoon, Eubank Jr weighed in at 159.1lbs, with Benn a touch heavier at 159.3lbs.
This morning, Eubank was 0.1lb under the 170lbs rehydration limit, with Benn tipping the scales at 166lbs.
Weight proved a key talking point last time around. Eubank Jr missed weight by just 0.05lbs, and incurred a hefty £375,000 fine as a result. The money went straight to Benn, who spent it on a Rolls-Royce.
Eubank Jr was on weight on fight day, though, and said he suffered from severe dehydration afterwards.
What weights have Eubank Jr and Benn previously fought at?
Benn has spent the majority of his career fighting at welterweight, but stepped up two divisions to heavyweight to face Eubank Jr in April.
Eubank fought at super-middleweight earlier in his career, taking on the likes of George Groves and James DeGale at 168lbs.
The original fight with Benn in 2022 was due to take place at a catchweight of 157lbs, which would have been the lightest Eubank has ever fought at as a professional.
