What we learned from Titans’ Week 13 loss to Browns

There is plenty of blame to go around for the Tennessee Titans’ embarrassing 41-35 loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 13.

Most of the blame goes to the defense, which allowed 38 points in the first half and provided zero resistance, both in coverage and in the pass rush. That allowed Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield to do as he pleased, and Cleveland barely needed to use its strength, which is the ground game.

However, the offense doesn’t go blameless in this game. It wasn’t until the second half when Ryan Tannehill and Co. turned things on, and that was mostly a result of the Browns easing up defensively in order to avoid giving up big plays.

Adding to those woes, the Titans’ defense didn’t look like it was prepared for what the Browns threw (literally) at them in the first half, and there were questionable calls on offense, also.

Many lessons were learned in Week 13, and all of them were negative.
