What we know so far about the armed police presence in Long Eaton

A residential street was closed this morning after armed officers with police dogs originally shut the road last night.

Grasmere Road, off Briar Gate in Long Eaton was blocked off in both directions by a large cordon that was put in place around a block of flats around 7pm yesterday (Thursday July 4).

Officers surrounded the block of flats and according to DerbyshireLive at least two firearms officers had their weapons drawn and trained at the property.
