What we know about Foundayo - the new weight loss pills to be approved in UK

United Kingdom Weight Loss

Foundayo, a daily GLP-1 weight loss pill produced by Eli Lilly, has been approved in the UK for treating both weight loss and type 2 diabetes.
The UK is the first country in Europe to approve the drug for both conditions, although it will only be available via private prescription and not on the NHS.
Unlike rival oral treatment Wegovy, Foundayo can be taken once daily without any food or water restrictions.
The drug is set to launch in the UK later this month at a lower list price than Mounjaro, which currently costs £330 for a monthly supply.
While offering clinically meaningful weight loss, potential side effects of the medication include nausea, diarrhoea, stomach cramps, fatigue, and hair loss.
