What was one of the biggest cash and carry sites in Wales has been acquired in a £5m deal.
The former Batleys cash and carry building in the Coryton area of Cardiff has been acquired in an off market transaction by property development firm Barclay Garrison Estates.
The vacate industrial unit is next to Barclay Garrison Estates' near 30 acre Cardiff Edge Business Park, which it acquired from GE Healthcare in a £18m deal back in 2018.
The acquired vacated building extends to 119,000 sq ft, set in nearly 7 acres of land.
Property advisory firm JLL are now marketing the building on behalf of Barclay Garrison Estates.
JLL also acted for Batleys in its disposal of the property.
At Cardiff Edge Business Park GE Healthcare now occupies around 110,000 sq ft of space under a 10 year lease.
There has been a string of lettings at the space vacated by GE Healthcare at the park, with recent tenants including the WRU and Bay Shipping.
Barclay Garrison Estates recently sold its investment in Magden Park in Llantrisant has been acquired in a £7.25m deal.
The park, which provides nearly 45,000 sq ft across nine office buildings, was sold to an undisclosed private property company.
