One man that knows Cavani well, having worked together at PSG, is former Gunners head coach Unai Emery, who was sacked by Arsenal in November.
Emery thinks Cavani would make a great signing.
Talking to Spanish radio station El Larguero as translated by Marca , the former Arsenal boss said: "He is a competitive animal, a winner and someone that trains in the highest demand.
"From the outside I do not see it so difficult that he can come in this winter market. He is very passionate and would be a magnificent signing."
