What TV channel is Manchester United vs Leeds United on? Kick-off time, team news, odds and predictions

Fresh off the back of their comfortable opening friendly victory over Perth Glory, Manchester United will next come up against fierce rivals Leeds United in Australia.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side got their pre-season tour of Australasia off to a solid start after goals from Marcus Rashford and youngster James Garner secured the win, and there was encouraging debuts from new signings Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but should face a more intense game against Leeds.

The last time the sides met in a competitive setting was in 2011 when a double from Michael Owen and a Ryan Giggs goal secured a 3-0 win in the League Cup at Elland Road.

Although the Yorkshire side have still been unable to gain promotion back to the Premier League they are a very different team to the one back then thanks in large part to the stewardship of Marcelo Bielsa.

The maverick Argentine took charge last season and oversaw a massive transformation in how they play and despite falling short in the play-offs he decided to stay on.

With Leeds being match sharper having already played two friendlies and Bielsa's demand for his players to press with extreme pressure, the match should be a good test of where United are physically so far in their preparations.

Team news for Manchester United vs Leeds United

United should have the majority of their squad back in action for the clash, with only back-up goalkeeper Lee Grant unavailable and left-back Luke Shaw being a real doubt.

Shaw limped off the pitch midway through the second-half in the victory over Perth and may be rested as a precaution.

Romelu Lukaku is fit after sitting out the game on Saturday and he is in contention to get back on the pitch while David de Gea will also make his first appearance of pre-season.

"I think so, we're all training yesterday, no one missed training, 24 players plus keepers," Solskjaer said. "Granty is still not fit, maybe we won't risk Luke, Rom is fit. Luke trained yesterday but we might not risk him tomorrow."

The United manager added: "Yeah (playing) and hopefully we can agree (a new deal) with David as I've said a few times, that'll be up to David and the club to announce when that happens, if and when."
