What channel is Man City vs Liverpool on? Live stream, kick off time and predicted line up

Four days after a successful FA Cup quarter-final it is back to Premier League action for Pep Guardiola and Manchester City on Thursday as they take on newly crowned champions Liverpool at the Etihad.

City’s loss to Chelsea in their last Premier League outing meant Liverpool could no longer be caught at the top of the table and have won the league for the first time since 1990.

City were back to their best against Newcastle in the FA Cup at the weekend and will be looking to send a message to Liverpool and the rest of the league ahead of next season by beating the champions.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have been in imperious form this season and recorded a 3-1 win in the reverse fixture last November.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of City’s clash with Liverpool.

When is the game?

The match takes place on Thursday, July 2, with kick off at 8:15 pm.

Despite initial suggestions that the match may be moved to a neutral venue, it will be played behind closed doors at the Etihad as originally planned.

Is it on TV?

Yes, like all Premier League games after the restart, the game will be shown live on TV.

You will be able to watch the match on Sky Sports Main Event (with added crowd noise) and Sky Sports Premier League (without added crowd noise). It will also be streamed on NOW TV.

Match coverage starts at 8:00 pm.

Team news

For City, Fernandinho will be unavailable as he serves the second of his two-match ban following his red card vs Chelsea.

Guardiola will also be without Sergio Aguero who is recovering from a knee operation.

Defender Eric Garcia could though be available after recovering from concussion suffered in the opening match vs Arsenal, while John Stones could also be back from an ankle injury.

Prediction

Predicted City line up

Ederson; Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Mendy; Rodri, De Bruyne, Foden; Mahrez, Jesus, Sterling
