What TV channel is Man City vs Arsenal on? Kick-off time, team news and prediction

After a three-month wait, Premier League football is back.

In their first game of the return, Manchester City welcome Arsenal to the Etihad Stadium tonight for the game that was originally postponed because of the Blues' involvement in the Carabao Cup final.

With a 25-point gap to first-placed Liverpool, City will be looking to pick up the three points in order to delay the Reds’ wait for a Premier League title for at least another week and to increase the gap between them and third-placed Leicester City to seven points.

A win for Man City would also be a blow to Arsenal’s faint hopes of qualifying for Champions League football this season, but a win for Mikel Arteta’s side will take them to within five points of Chelsea in fourth.

Here is everything you need to know about the game.

Team news

The three-month break in play has meant that any players carrying knocks ahead of the originally planned fixture have now been given time to recover in time for the game.

Benjamin Mendy and Aymeric Laporte, both of whom have struggled with injuries, are both expected to be available for selection.

In another boost to Pep Guardiola, Leroy Sane could be in line to make his first appearance of the season after recovering from a ruptured cruciate ligament he sustained during the Community Shield at the start of the campaign.

Arsenal will also be welcoming back players, with full-back Kieran Tierney expected to be available for selection after recovering from a dislocated shoulder.
