What TV channel is Hungary vs Portugal on? Euro 2020 livestream info

Portugal begin their attempts to regain the European Championship crown by facing Hungary in the first game of Group F at Euro 2020.

They go into the clash as hot favourites thanks to a star-studded squad full of a host of Premier League stars including Manchester United ’s Bruno Fernandes and Liverpool's Diogo Jota.

Hungary will be reeling from the loss of their key player, RB Leipzig’s Dominik Szoboszlai, who was omitted by Marco Rossi from the squad on the 1st June.

Szoboszlai scored a dramatic stoppage time winner over Iceland to help Hungary qualify for the tournament back in November.

However, the 20-year-old has not played since December of last year due to an ongoing abductor problem and Rossi was forced to exclude him from the Hungarian squad.

Portugal will be confident of their chances against an unfancied Hungary side, though they will be reminded of the spectacular 3-3 draw at Euro 2016 where the Hungarians produced a stellar performance to top their group.

Portugal still went onto lift the trophy despite only finishing third, two points behind Hungary.

They will have an even stronger squad this time around; especially in the attacking department, with Fernando Santos able to pick from the likes of Ronaldo, Joao Felix, Fernandes, Jota and Bernando Silva.

It is hard to predict just who Santos will go with. Ronaldo will be certain to spearhead the attack, but has only scored once in his last five competitive international caps.

Jota should get the nod to play alongside him after a superb season at Anfield.

The Liverpool forward has five goals and two assists in his last six competitive international caps.

Plenty of hopes will also rest on Fernandes in midfield, and he will be looking to reproduce his Manchester United form on the international stage having scored just twice in 27 games for his country.

Meanwhile Ruben Dias will play a major role at thwarting opposition attacks at the other end of the field, but his Man City colleague Joao Cancelo has been forced out of the tournament after testing positive for coronavirus.

Santos will need all the firepower he can get with Hungary a difficult side to break down. The Magyars will be boosted by a full crowd with the game taking place at the Puskas Arena in Hungary’s capital, Budapest.

The Portugal boss was certainly cautious in his press conference ahead of the tie.

He told reporters: "Hungary will play two matches at home and Germany three. That has advantages, clearly. Hungary gave us plenty of trouble in 2016. They were really good, then faltered but are strong again. Their players are very tough. It will be difficult.”

Bristol City’s Adam Nagy is also likely to feature at the heart of midfield for Hungary. Meanwhile Leicester City target Attila Szalai will be hoping to catch the eye too.

Meanwhile Wolves fans will be hoping to catch a glimpse of four of their current stars in Rui Patricio, Nelson Semedo, Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves.
