What TV channel is Cheltenham Town vs Man City on? Kick-off time, live stream and team news

Manchester City travel to Gloucestershire for their first competitive meeting with Cheltenham Town this weekend.

City head into the FA Cup game against League Two opposition in buoyant mood after they left it late to see off Aston Villa on Wednesday night - a 2-0 victory which keeps them hot on the heels of Manchester United at the top of the Premier League.

A crucial aid to their impressive form has been the defensive solidity provided by a partnership of John Stones and Rúben Dias, and it is now more than five games and 450 minutes of football since Guardiola’s side last conceded.

Their opponents are well fancied to make their way out of League Two this season after reaching the play-offs in 2019/20, though a third-round win against Mansfield Town remains their only victory in nine league and cup games.

Ahead of the fourth-round clash - here is everything you need to know.

Where and when can I watch the game?

City’s game at Cheltenham will be live on BBC One on Saturday, along with a host of other games able to view on the BBC Sport website.

The match at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium will kick-off at 5:30pm with coverage getting underway at 5:20pm.

Can I stream Cheltenham Town v Man City?

Viewers in the UK can watch for free on the BBC Sport website and iPlayer.

These can both be accessed through your browser on any digital device here or on the BBC Sport and BBC iPlayer apps - both of which are available in the Apple and Android stores.

What is the early Cheltenham Town v Man City team news?

Pep Guardiola could well call upon Aymeric Laporte to return to the City line-up on Saturday as the defender is back in training following a hamstring problem.

Two major absentee announcements did follow victory against Villa though; Kevin De Bruyne will be sidelined with a hamstring issue of his own, while Sergio Aguero also misses out after testing positive for Covid-19.

In terms of Cheltenham, midfielder Chris Hussey looks like a major doubt after coming off 30 minutes into a 1-1 draw against Newport in midweek - the 32-year-old played every minute of Town’s first 21 league games.

What do the bookies say?

City are resounding favourites for the FA Cup tie, priced at around 1/10 with most bookmakers.

Meanwhile, Cheltenham Town are as high as 20/1 with Bet365.
