Quotes corner

St Mirren boss Jim Goodwin: “The pressure is always on the Old Firm, there’s no getting away from that.

“I do think they’ll be wanting to make amends for what happened at Parkhead, there’s no doubt about that.

“They certainly won’t underestimate us and they certainly won’t turn up here and expect an easy game.

“I don’t think they’ll enjoy coming here because we’ve played well here.

“The players are comfortable in their home stadium and we’ll make the evening as difficult as possible for Celtic as we can.

“We’re not going to over consume ourselves with Celtic. We need to remember the great performance we had at Parkhead and why we got the result we did."

Celtic manager Neil Lennon: “The previous two performances have been very good.

“It is difficult to put my finger on the performance against St Mirren, we just didn’t seem to have that zip about us at all and we lacked concentration at times as well.

“I had a few choice words, that was all. I told them I was bitterly disappointed.

“I haven’t had to do that many times in my second spell (as boss) and I’ve had a good reaction so far.

“Obviously the game has come around quickly and I am looking for a far better performance than we got at Celtic Park and build on the two recent performances.”
