What Trent Alexander-Arnold has said about Liverpool beating Chelsea to Jadon Sancho transfer

Liverpool and England right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has revealed that he would love it if Borussia Dortmund sensation Jadon Sancho made the switch to Anfield this summer, insisting that the England international is a "special talent."

The 20-year-old, who joined Dortmund from Manchester City back in 2017, has become one of the most-talked about players over the past few months, with Chelsea and Manchester United being heavily linked with a move for the skilful winger.

But Liverpool, too, are also believed to have shown an interest in landing the youngster, who has played a direct hand in 36 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund this season.

Though it remains a mystery as to where Sancho could seal a move to come the next transfer window, Liverpool star Alexander-Arnold, who will be patiently waiting to see if Liverpool will be handed the chance to seal their Premier League title charge because of the coronavirus pandemic, has revealed an Instagram Q&A that he would be "more than happy" for him to join him at Anfield.

"To us? Listen, Sancho is sick so if he came to us he would make our team better," the right-back, who has played a key role in Liverpool's title charge this summer, admitted.

"So, I'd be more than happy for him to come because I have played with him at England.

"He's a special, special, special, special talent."

As well as commenting on speculation surrounding Sancho's future, Alexander-Arnold also answered a question about who is the toughest winger he has ever come against during his career.

On that, the 21-year-old said: "I'd probably say [Eden] Hazard."
