What Tom Brady said to Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo in appearance at Man Utd vs Tottenham

American football legend Tom Brady was in attendance at Old Trafford as Manchester United and Tottenham clashed in the Premier League on Saturday, and took time to send a message to the two superstars.

Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo both started for their respective sides and Brady is very familiar with them both.

The Manchester United talisman has frequently been compared to the 44-year-old due to his impressive longevity in the game, with Brady only retiring at the end of last season.

For Kane, however, the former quarterback is one of his sporting idols and met Brady after he won the Superbowl against the LA Rams in February 2019.

"When I was about 18, 19, I stumbled across a Tom Brady documentary on YouTube," said Kane.

"I fell in love with him and his mentality, and the game as well. I chose the Patriots from that moment and just loved it ever since.

"We got in touch through Instagram four or five years ago. I was already a big fan of his and the way he worked and the way he was. He loves soccer and I know his son loves soccer as well.

"We got talking and I got the chance to go out and watch the Patriots beat the Rams in the Super Bowl and we caught up at the after-party. That’s the first time I got to meet him in person.

"We both appreciate each other in the sport and I guess we have similarities in the way we are as people as well."

Ahead of kick-off, Brady took to Twitter to send a message to both players.

Writing alongside a view from his seat, he said: "Here we go! @Cristiano vs. @HKane. I might fist pump if you score Harry but I’m riding with @ManUtd today."

Both men scored in the first half of the game, but it was Ronaldo's screamer that provoked further comment from Brady, who simply tweeted a video of the Portuguese saying his iconic "Siu" celebration.
