Hokum stars Adam Scott as a novelist who travels to a haunted Irish inn to scatter his parents’ ashes and is forced to survive the night against a vengeful witch. The horror-thriller is written and directed by Damian McCarthy, best known for directing Caveat and Oddity, and is apparently so scary that the film’s star “jumped and yelped” during a screening.
