What to Expect From Travelers Companies’ Q3 2025 Earnings Report

New York-based The Travelers Companies, Inc. (TRV) operates as a holding company focused on providing commercial and personal property & casualty insurance products and services. Valued at $62.5 billion by market cap, Travelers operates through Business Insurance, Bond & Specialty Insurance, and Personal Insurance segments.

The insurance giant is set to unveil its third-quarter results before the market opens on Thursday, Oct. 16. Ahead of the event, analysts expect TRV to deliver an adjusted profit of $5.30 per share, up 1.2% from $5.24 per share reported in the year-ago quarter. The company has a solid earnings surprise history. It has surpassed the Street’s bottom-line estimates in each of the past four quarters.

 

For the full fiscal 2025, analysts project TRV to report an adjusted EPS of $21.50, marginally down from $21.58 reported in 2024. While in fiscal 2026, its earnings are expected to surge 15.4% year-over-year to $24.80 per share.

Travelers’ stock prices have soared 17.7% over the past 52 weeks, outpacing the S&P 500 Index’s ($SPX15.6% gains but lagging behind the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund’s (XLF19.6% surge during the same time frame.

Travelers Companies’ stock prices gained 3.8% following the release of its impressive Q2 results on Jul. 17. The company reported a 3.9% year-over-year growth in net written premiums to $11.5 billion. Meanwhile, its total revenues for the quarter grew 7.4% year-over-year to $12.1 billion. Further, driven by lower catastrophe losses, higher underwriting gains, and higher net investment income, Travelers’ adjusted EPS for the quarter surged by a staggering 159.4% year-over-year to $6.51, exceeding the consensus estimates by 83.9%.

Analysts remain optimistic about the stock’s prospects. TRV maintains a consensus “Moderate Buy” rating overall. Of the 27 analysts covering the stock, opinions include eight “Strong Buys,” one “Moderate Buy,” 16 “Holds,” one “Moderate Sell,” and one “Strong Sell.” Its mean price target of $294.33 suggests a modest 6% upside potential from current price levels.
