Edinburgh weather: Snow predicted to fall in the capital next week

The weather this week in Edinburgh is set to be moderately calm and dry according to the BBC but snow is to be expected from December 1.

Temperatures are expected to range between five and seven degrees from Monday through to Wednesday.

But they will drop to between two and five degrees as we move into the weekend.

It is to be mostly dry at the beginning of the week with a slight chance of showers on Wednesday.

Rain will return this weekend however with rain showers predicted to take place during the late morning on Friday.

Weather this week:

Monday: Will see sunny intervals with a gentle breeze. Temperatures will start at freezing in the morning before peaking at seven degrees in the afternoon.

Tuesday: Will see light cloud cover with a slight breeze. Temperatures will remain consistent with the day starting at seven degrees and the highest peak being at nine.

Wednesday: Will have light cloud cover and a gentle breeze. Temperatures will start at seven degrees but will plummet to three in the early evening.

Thursday: Will see sunny intervals with a gentle breeze. Temperatures will begin at one degree and will peak at five.

The weekend: There will be light showers on Friday morning before it dries up later in the day. Saturday will be overcast throughout most of the day and Sunday is much the same.
