What to expect as Mother bring back their unreal Summer Block Party

Mother is ready to welcome us back to the Dublin club scene with their sensational Summer Block Party happening on Saturday, September 18.

Mother became a staple in Pride celebrations for Dubs and people all around the country who would flock to their block parties after the annual LGBTQ+ Pride parade.

Given the restrictions presented by the pandemic, the partying and celebrations had to come to a temporary halt but will return next Saturday at Collin's Barracks.

Celebrating the best in Queer and Irish talent, this end-of-summer block party is the first festival-sized dance event to happen in the city.

There will be two stages stages in the stunning grounds of the National Museum and a whopping 50+ performers and artists ready to make it a party to remember. With the addition of the second stage, ticket holders can expect more drag performances and DJs.

The event will be hosted by none other than the Queen of Ireland, Panti Bliss and there will be performances by Denise Chaila, Elaine Mai, Mother DJs, RuPaul's Drag Race star Blu Hydrangea, Kelly-Anne Byrne, Conor Behan, Viscose, St Bishop and Elkae.

You can also expect to see beloved Dublin drag queens Davina Devine and Shirley Temple Bar, as well as Dragged Up.

The easing of government restrictions in relation to outdoor events made the addition of the second stage possible and will see the Collin's Barracks venue host 75% of its capacity with the ability to have a fully standing event.

Everyone attending the event must show proof of immunity, vaccinated or recovered, through the EU Digital Covid Certificate.

General admission tickets are now on sale for €45 plus booking fee. You can purchase them via Eventbrite.
