There are no two ways about it: the Tennessee Titans were an embarrassment in Week 4 and managed to drop a game to the worst team in the NFL, the New York Jets.
While we did pick the Titans to win, we’ve been urging caution all week long. The Titans have made a habit of playing down to their competition, which is something we saw again on Sunday.
Despite that, and all of the injuries Tennessee is dealing with, there is no excuse for losing this game, especially with how things went down.
The defense couldn’t stop letting up big plays or notch sacks, and the offense struggled once again, mostly as a result of horrible pass protection that continues to be a common theme in Nashville.
Making matters worse, the Titans’ lead over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South has shrunk, with Indy beating the Miami Dolphins, 27-17.
