What Titans are saying about Patriots ahead of Week 12 matchup

With just one game before the much-needed bye week, the Tennessee Titans have to stay focused on the task at hand in Week 12, facing a red-hot New England Patriots team in Foxborough.

Patriots rookie quarterback Mac Jones is playing really well right now, with seven touchdowns during the five-game winning streak, but he also has the propensity to throw a few interceptions.

While the former Alabama quarterback is averaging 7.3 yards per attempt, a closer look at his statistics reveals that he’s been relying on his receivers to do most of the work for him.

Jones is actually throwing for just 5.3 air yards per completion, tied for the fourth-worst in the league.

As such, Titans safety Kevin Byard is willing to let Jones dump off the ball as much as he wants, as long as Tennessee remains steadfast in the red zone.

“As a safety, I understand my responsibility depending on what the coverage is,” he said. “I can’t try to get too antsy to go outside the defense to try to go make certain plays because they will take a shot. So as long as we keep the ball in front of us, [Jones] can dink and dunk it as much as he wants. If we’re good in the red-zone, we’ll be good.”

Aside from Byard’s comments, here’s what else the Titans are saying ahead of their Week 12 matchup with New England.
