Hurrah. We’ve made it through April, and to May - where we find ourselves on the first of two bank holidays this month.
Now if you’ve forgotten some little essential items for any BBQs, picnics and parties you might be throwing in the garden? Don’t worry as Sainsbury’s stores will be open all weekend - so that’s one less thing to worry about.
So if you’re looking for deals on wine, beers, BBQ meats, snacks and more - Sainsbury’s has you covered.
We’ve listed below the full opening times breakdown, or use the Sainsbury’s online store finder tool for specific details of your local store at sainsburys.co.uk.
Sainsbury’s Bank Holiday opening hours:
- Friday April 30th - normal opening hours for all UK stores
- Saturday May 1st - normal opening hours for all UK stores
- Sunday May 2nd - normal opening hours for all UK stores
- On Monday May 3rd, all stores in the UK will be open as normal between 8am and 8pm.

Some Sainsbury’s stores are still offering elderly and vulnerable customers, NHS staff and care workers prioritised access into stores at any time. All you have to do is show a valid NHS or care worker pass at the door.
Right now at Sainsbury’s, customers who buy any six or more bottles of wine can save 25% - how good is that? So whether you’re after a few bottles of bubbly, a Sauvignon Blanc or Merlot? Perhaps a crisp White Zinfandel or Rioja? The supermarket has one unmissable offer on until the 2nd May.
As for those BBQ or party snacks? Sainsbury’s have a wide range to suit everyone’s needs. From vegan to vegetarian, gluten to dairy free - no one will go home hungry, that’s for sure.
