The miserable weather we were promised for this weekend has well and truly hit today.
Unfortunately the worst is very much yet to come and we're braced for plenty of thunderstorms throughout the weekend.
Weather warnings are in place for rain today and thunderstorms throughout all of Saturday and the beginning of Sunday.
Heavy downpours are forecast for the remainder of Friday, and the first thunderstorms are due to begin at 10pm tonight, turning into hail at 11pm.
Saturday will once again begin with heavy rain, which will clear away into lighter rain and some sunny spells from 9am to 3pm.
However, by 4pm thunderstorms are set to kick in, with a risk of flooding also in place. By the evening, it will begin to clear up again and we'll get a brief respite from the rain by 9pm. It will also be very warm and humid, with temperatures around 24C.
A statement from the Met Office reads: "Early low cloud then brightening up with some sunny intervals. Scattered heavy showers with some thundery downpours developing by afternoon, flooding risk. Warm and humid. Maximum temperature 24C."
A yellow weather warning for thunderstorms on Sunday is in place until 6am, with the Met Office predicting "cloudy with further showers or even longer spells of rain, heavy at times."
