What time is UFC 285 in UK tonight? Jon Jones vs Ciryl Gane fight card and stream

Jon Jones is back in action tonight after a three-year layoff as he fights Ciryl Gane for the vacant heavyweight title at UFC 285 in Las Vegas.

Jones, 35, hasn’t fought in over three years but looks to become one of the few two-weight champions in UFC history tonight when he faces Gane, who has previously held the interim heavyweight belt. ‘Bones’ defended his light-heavyweight title for the last time by defeating Dominick Reyes in February 2020 by controversial decision, with many fans believing the UFC legend has been a shell of his former self in his last performances.

Amongst the pay-per-view card in Las Vegas is a women’s flyweight title fight between current titleholder Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso. Unbeaten prospect Shavkat Rakhmonov is also in action whilst wrestling standout Bo Nickel makes his highly-anticipated UFC debut, so here’s all you need to know about tonight’s fights…

What time is the Jon Jones vs Ciryl Gane fight?

Ring walks for the title clash between Jones and Gane are expected to take place at around 5am UK time, with the fight getting underway shortly after that. This fight time is likely to change depending on the length of the main card fights taking place before the headlining act, especially with a five-round title fight between Shevchenko and Grasso in the co-main event.

Quotes corner

Jones: "I set up a gym at my house about two months before Covid hit and I've been training non-stop. It was great to have a place to go and blow off steam. I made the plan to get to heavyweight and at first I thought it would be really easy, I thought I could do it in a few months. As I got more into it, I realised if I wanted to do it right it was something I had to commit my whole life to and that's what I did. It kept me happy and gave me a new goal to become the heavyweight champion of the world."

Gane: "He's going to be strong, fast and sharp. I'm really sure of that and I'm prepared for that, but he's a human and I'm a human. We are fighters with two hands, two fists, so let's make it happen. I've got really good footwork, I can move very well for a heavyweight and everybody knows that. I'm going to have an advantage because I'm going to be fast, I can't wait to fight against this guy and I'm going to finish him."
