The first day of the 2019 Sunderland Airshow will close with a fireworks display.
Musicians will kick off the show on Friday , with performances on the stage, before Sunderland's mayor officially welcomes the crowds.
The aerial action starts on Friday evening, with displays from the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight team. Switzerland's PC-7 squad are due to perform on Friday too. The very, very loud RAF Typhoon will be in the evening as well- you'll hear it before you see it!
Fireflies Aerobatic Display Team will make the final flights of the opening night.
The airshow's opening day will close with a fireworks display in Seaburn.
Saturday's show opens at 10am. The first display is scheduled to begin at noon, with final displays around 5pm.
