The Queen is expected to deliver a very personal message to the nation on Christmas Day, after a tough year for the monarch, which saw her lose husband Prince Phillip.
It was back in April that the Duke of Edinburgh passed away at the age of 99, with the millions who tuned into his funeral, extremely moved by the sight of a mourning Queen Elizabeth sitting by herself in church as she said goodbye to him.
While the contents of The Queen's 2021 Christmas message have yet to be revealed, a photograph released by Buckingham Palace ahead of her televised address shows the Queen sat behind a desk in the White Drawing Room at Windsor Castle.

And her outfit is particularly poignant as she wears the same sapphire chrysanthemum brooch which she wore in both the photo of her and Prince Phillip on their honeymoon and the Diamond Wedding anniversary picture which sits next to her as she delivers her speech.
What time is the Queen's Speech on TV?
Queen Elizabeth will once address the nation as she does every Christmas Day, at 3pm on Saturday, December 25.
You'll be able to watch it on both BBC and ITV at 3pm.
After another hard year for the whole country, Her Majesty is expected to address the challenges brought about by the coronavirus pandemic, as well as praising frontline staff for all their efforts.
In her 2020 speech she said: "Of course, for many, this time of year will be tinged with sadness: some mourning the loss of those dear to them, and others missing friends and family-members distanced for safety, when all they’d really want for Christmas is a simple hug or a squeeze of the hand.
"If you are among them, you are not alone, and let me assure you of my thoughts and prayers."
