From eating mince pies to playing classic board games, every family has their festive traditions.
The Queen's very own custom is her Christmas Day speech - she gave her first one on 25 December 1957, making this year its 69th edition.
The speech, which tends to be around 10 minutes long, is usually pre-recorded at Buckingham Palace in mid-December.
It normally airs after lunchtime on Christmas Day, followed by the National Anthem.
Last year, Queen Elizabeth reassured anyone spending the special day without friends and family that they were 'not alone.'
She paid tribute to the NHS key workers, thanking them for their hard work during the Covid situation and for boosting morale during dark times.
Her Majesty, who is 95 years old, also reflected on how the pandemic has 'brought us closer' despite causing hardship.
Where and what time to watch the Queen's speech
The Queen's address will be available to watch on BBC One, ITV, Sky One, Sky News on Saturday, December 25.
It is due to air at 3pm.
You can also listen to the speech on BBC Radio 4, or catch it online through the Royal Family YouTube Channel and their Facebook page.
This year it's thought the Queen might reflect on her marriage with Prince Philip, following his death on April 9 this year.

The monarch will be spending her first Christmas without him after 73 years of marriage.
She will probably also reference the challenges that the ongoing Covid pandemic has created in 2021.
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will be with the Queen on Christmas Day, a Clarence House spokesman confirmed earlier this week.
The Queen will be staying at Windsor for her first Christmas without her late husband the Duke of Edinburgh, rather than travelling to Sandringham as usual.
But she will be joined by members of her family over the festive period, including a visit from Charles and Camilla on Christmas Day.
